趙氏总会宗旨

人不能离群而独处，更不能不团结以求进化，一般社会团体之组织，即为人类讲求进化之最好榜样；而各氏宗社之形成，亦即本此意义。

值比二十世纪全今日，宗法制度，虽已不复存在；然站在联络宗人情感，互相合作，准备以集体力量，从事社会进化事业而言，宗亲之组织，尚属需要。

顾我趙氏之在祖国，确为历代望族，其番衍遍各省，且为多代国主强者，以氏族兴衰言之，实足引为自豪者。至於侨居海外之趙氏宗人，为数亦复不少；只因吾族散处各地，各自为生，从无聚首畅叙之机缘，遂致宗族兄弟，有如路人，毫无交谊，而对於社会之几许事业，其他姓族社团。或已表现相当之成绩，独我趙氏宗人，无从过门，其不思奋发争气，何其惭愧耶！

同人等深感及此，爱有筹组南洋趙氏总会之议，现经呈请社团注册宫准予注册在案，惟此事体大，须赖群策群力，方可完成。愿我宗人，本亲仁敦睦，光前裕后之旨，团结一致，全力以赴，以底於城。

To stay united for a common cause, to promote the wellbeing of all, to preserve culture, tradition and values - this has been the basis of clan organisations and ancestral associations for decades.
The patriarchal system of old clan associations has since evolved. Now, focus on promotion of traditional values and teachings and mutual care and cooperation of members have made clan associations even more relevant and important in this fast changing society.
In ancient times, members of the Chao clan were scattered in many provinces of China. Many others lived successfully in various parts of the world. Whilst the achievements of the members brought glory to the Chao family, the geographical diversity caused cohesiveness of the family members to be diluted.Opportunities to get together became rare and interaction gradually lost.
With the vision of uniting the Chao clan members, Nanyang Chao Clan Association was created. We aim to provide a platform to enhance kinship among the many Chao members and to preserve the values of the Chao family for our future generations.

趙氏总会历史

筹建小组委员会委员 (1955)

玉山、德什、克都、世林、德嘉、惟乙、玉林、承威、开华

本会为谋南洋宗人之团结应社会环境之需，爱於1955年春，由克都、德什、开华、文好、添彬及玉山等假座乞罗卜街45号会谈研讨创立宗会问题，结果推举玉山为筹备主任。

此为本会发物之时，7月19日备文呈请社团注册官备案。同时借重於报章之报导。8月18日假南天召开宗人临时大会，通过会章及选举首届职员负责督促会务之进行。翌年2月4日，荷蒙政府核准注册。同年9月16日举行成立开幕典礼，敦请立法议员林春茂先生主持剪采。

特将各界贺仪壹仟余元喜悉赠南洋大学另拨仟元加入为南洋大学会员聊表本会爱护教育之微旨，时会所系租赁德什宗先生所建大夏，在芽茏6巷60号三楼附设互助部。第以所址狭隘，交通不便，难图发展，为一劳永逸计，遂计划筹建新会所，於是筹建小组委员乃告组成，从此展开工作，集中力量。

会务一切渐臻就绪。於1959年8月31日即由信托人玉山世林惟雁等联署契买惹兰勿刹257-1号楼宇以为本会不动产新会所9月6日奉准迁进。新址厥后加以改建鸠工材栋宇辉煌，堂构数立，而基楚告厥巩固矣，长此三派流芳家声丕振端赖诸宗人鼎力物护，热心支持之功焉，依照会章及应雕刻铜牌，藉以褒扬，愿后起之秀，崇奉玉煤，溯本追源，善继善述，发扬世德，乘亲亲自义，进而为社会人群造福族众勉之哉。

Yushan, Deshi, Kedu, Shilin, Dejia, Weiyi, Yulin, Chengwei, Kaihua

In order to seek the unity of the Nanyang clan and meet the needs of the social environment, the association was established in the spring of 1955 by Kedu, Deshi, Kaihua, Wenhao, Tianbin and Yushan at No. 45, Qiluobu Street. As a result, Yushan was elected as the preparatory director.

This is the time when the Association issued the matter. On July 19, a paper was prepared and submitted to the Registrar of Societies for the record. At the same time, rely heavily on newspaper reports.On August 18th, an extraordinary meeting of the patriarchal clan was held in Nantian, and the constitution was passed and the first staff members were elected to supervise the progress of the meeting. On February 4 of the following year, the government of Holland approved the registration.The opening ceremony was held on September 16 of the same year, and Mr. Lin Chunmao, a member of the Legislative Council, was invited to host the clip.

Congratulations from all walks of life more than 1,000 yuan will be given to Nanyang University, another 1,000 yuan will be added as a member of Nanyang University to talk about the purpose of loving education in the association. There is a Mutual Aid Department on the third floor. Because of the narrow location, inconvenient transportation, and difficult development, it was planned to build a new clubhouse once and for all, so the preparatory team members were formed to start work and concentrate their efforts.

Everything is getting ready for the meeting. On August 31, 1959, the trustee Yushan Shilin Weiyan and others jointly signed the deed to purchase the building at No. 257-1, Jalan Besar, thinking that the new real estate club of the association was approved to move in on September 6. The new site was rebuilt later. The building is splendid, with several halls and structures, and Jichu has been consolidated. In the long run, the reputation of the three schools of Liufang and family has been greatly enhanced by the great protection and enthusiastic support of the clansmen. 趙氏宗族史略

(摘路自趙氏崇政族谱）

趙姓，是中国姓氏通谱《百家性》中的第一个姓。据1990年最新的统计材料，趙在中国十大姓中排行第七，人口己逾五千多万，趙姓的分支姓氏有20多个，其中“马”姓最大，他们是战国名将马服若趙奢的后代，繁衍成今日中国第十九大姓，人口近三干余万。趙姓家族乃中华民族的主体之一。

趙姓虽不是最古老的姓氏，但却对华夏文明作出了卓越贡献。自趙姓始祖造父得幸于周穆王(公元前976 – 前924)，受焬趙城，以趙为姓后，其后人政绩卓越。趙姓族人创建的战国七雄之趙国和北宋、南宋两朝，更使趙氏家族显赫于世。

趙姓是一个多民族的大家庭，在许多少数民族之中都有趙氏后裔。趙姓对中华民族之间的民族融合起了积极的作用。

趙姓家族史上曾有许多惊心动魄的故事和令族人难忘的深刻教训，脍炙人口的“趙氏孤儿”、“纸上谈兵”、“靖康之耻” 等，均是趙姓子孙用生命创作的故事。

趙姓尽管多灾多难，但仍繁荣昌盛，人才辈出。

The surname Zhao is the first surname in the Chinese surname spectrum "Hundreds of Characters". According to the latest statistics in 1990, Zhao ranked seventh among the top ten surnames in China, with a population of more than 50 million. There are more than 20 branch surnames of the Zhao surname, among which the "Ma" surname is the largest. They are the famous generals of the Warring States period. Zhao She's descendants have multiplied into the nineteenth most common surname in China today, with a population of nearly three thousand. The Zhao family is one of the main bodies of the Chinese nation.

Although the surname Zhao is not the oldest surname, it has made outstanding contributions to Chinese civilization. Zaofu, the ancestor of the surname Zhao, was honored by King Mu of Zhou (976 B.C. – 924 B.C.), who received Zhao Cheng as his surname, and his descendants had outstanding achievements in political affairs. The Zhao Kingdom, the Seven Heroes of the Warring States Period, and the Northern Song and Southern Song Dynasties established by the Zhao clan made the Zhao family prominent in the world.

The Zhao surname is a multi-ethnic family, and there are descendants of the Zhao family among many ethnic minorities.The Zhao surname played a positive role in the national integration among the Chinese nation.

There have been many thrilling stories and profound lessons in the history of the Zhao family, such as "Zhao's Orphan", "On Paper", "The Shame of Jingkang" etc., are all stories created by Zhao's descendants with their lives.

Although the Zhao surname is full of disasters, it is still prosperous and talented.

趙氏三派玉牒

宋朝立国之初，宋太祖趙匡胤亲写御书，把他与两位弟弟(光义、光美) 的皇朱分为太祖、太宗、魏王三大支派，三派“玉牒”各立十四字，以作排辈子分，另立遗嘱为序。

太祖

派十四字为:
德惟从（守）世令子伯，师希与孟由宜顾。

派续十四字为:
溥纲鼎建存忠厚，礼仪谦和瑁永循。

太宗

派十四字为:
元允宗仲士不（丕）善，汝崇必良友季同。

派续十四字为:
原本樊兼思尚买；式景均宁（中）庆以充。

魏王

派十四字为:
德承克叔之公彦，大时若嗣次古光。

派续十四字为:
先(生)贤延辅文才广，资质端庄盛传芳。
